“A Tropical Journey” is a multi-layered design story, inspired by Singapore’s flora and fauna, visitors and residents, architecture and communities. The initial inspiration came from historical accounts of German botanist and illustrator Ernst Haeckel, who traveled through Singapore in the late 19th Century. This orginal floral motif has been block-printed on peach-hued handspun khadi cotton by Indian National Award Winner and 5th generation master artisan Santosh Kumar Dhanopia of Sanganer, Rajasthan in India. A simple yet chic overlay over a pair of trousers or even a pair of pyjamas, when you're taking those work from home video calls!
