“A Tropical Journey” is a multi-layered design story, inspired by Singapore’s flora and fauna, visitors and residents, architecture and communities. The initial inspiration came from historical accounts of German botanist and illustrator Ernst Haeckel, who travelled through Singapore in the late 19th Century. The floral grid design has been block printed on a canvas of delicate twill cashmere by Indian National Award Winner and 5th generation master artisan Santosh Kumar Dhanopia of Sanganer, Rajasthan in India.
