This striking patchwork jacket has been developed using old fabrics, applique and kantha stitching methods. Careful mending and patching makes this a unique piece that can be styled with many outfits.
One side has a black based with zig-zag waves in blues, yellows and pinks. Floral applique embroideries have been used as a means to mend and cover small fabric imperfections. The inner side is a patchwork of different prints and patterns in blues, aquas and yellows. Folding the sleeves allow contrast details to come through when either side is worn. Embroidery and darning details are left raw on the inner side, a reminder that the journey to RE/LOVE is not a perfect one, but a unique effort, one stitch at a time.
